Just like solvent and thermal, waterwash chemistries are different with each manufacturer.  Many have seen the sticky, gooey mess than comes with the waterwash of years past.  I know it all too well.  I sold it for 12 years.  Our material acts more like solvent plates.  Instead of the sticky mess, we generate an almost powder like residue in the water making it very simple and easy to filter.  No gooey mess to clean up.
